Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Sabah met today His Excellency Najib Mikati, the Prime Minister of the brotherly Republic of Lebanon, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA. During the meeting, they discussed the close relations between the State of Kuwait and the brotherly Republic of Lebanon, and ways to strengthen and develop these ties to serve the common interests of both countries and their peoples. Additionally, they reviewed the latest regional and international developments. His Highness strongly condemned and denounced the airstrikes and military operations launched by Israeli occupation forces against the brotherly Republic of Lebanon. He emphasized the need to halt the escalating tension in the region, which threatens to widen the scope of conflict. His Highness also reaffirmed Kuwait’s solidarity with Lebanon and its rejection of any actions that would undermine its sovereignty and stability.
